Als je de afgelopen weken op de Nederlandse bookstagrams of boekenblogs keek, heb je dit boek ongetwijfeld al zien passeren. Hi there! Welcome to booktopia!

I’m Birdie (she/her), a sapphic and autistic reader, and I’m here to lead you the way through this messy yet wonderful world!

This blog is primarily dedicated to YA fiction (from fantasy to contemporary to thriller) and my biggest goal is to shed a light on diverse books so they’re easier to find. And to just share my opinions on books, of course! Be aware though: when I start screaming, I don’t stop!

I hope you enjoy your stay in booktopia! Now, let’s take a walk together, shall we?

Look! Some chaotic reviews!

The Unbroken (Magic of the Lost, #1)The Unbroken by C.L. Clark
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

this book is so good, so strong, so powerful, so impactful. i loved every second of reading it, but for some reason i can't say i love this book.

Sweet & Bitter MagicSweet & Bitter Magic by Adrienne Tooley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

i feel like adrienne tooley just looked at a list of things birdie wants to see in a book and said “yes, let’s do all of the above.”

Fable (Fable, #1)Fable by Adrienne Young
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

all these books about adventures and still i'm sitting here reading during class...such a shame. i'd be one hell of a good protagonist, let's face it. but okay, luckily we have authors like Adrienne Young who make you feel as if you're part of an adventure.

American BetiyaAmerican Betiya by Anuradha D. Rajurkar
My rating: 2.5 of 5 stars

where i truly hoped i'd leave this book with tears accompanying my cheeks, i instead ended up sitting there with exactly one thing going through my head: hmmmmm.

The Castle School (for Troubled Girls)The Castle School by Alyssa B. Sheinmel
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

i hate to be the one to ruin the party by being the only one to rate this one star, but i'm not gonna beat around the bush: this was not good in my opinion.
